Air Jordan VII (7) - Unseen Sample from 1992

June 04, 2009 | Air Jordan

We gotta admit, we love samples. They allow us to check out some unreleased ideas that shoe designers had, and it also allows sneaker heads to provide feedback on whether the samples should or should not be pushed out for public consumption.

These, however, are a special case because it is not often that a NEW sample emerges of such a high profile shoe from over 17 years ago! What you see here are a pair of never before seen Air Jordan VII look-see samples from 1992. Look at the amazing condition that these are in…

One thing we can appreciate about the “older” kicks is that they are made with much better quality. These samples make use of the nice white tumbled leather coupled with the purple suede inner. The midsole and heel are accented with a teal and infrared-like color. Definitely a nicely done design, and with all the wild sneaker color combinations dropping lately, these wouldn’t be bad for JB to dust off and break out of the vault to maybe take another look at (hint hint)…please??
