Came across these kicks today and just had to do a quick post. The name of these custom Nike Air Force 1’s says it all: “The Canal Street AF1 Special”. As you can see, these shoes are made from pieces of your usual “luxury” brands that are bootlegged on our favorite street to find fake designer products: Canal Street, NYC Chinatown.

Custom shoes were created by SoleFood to bring awareness to the fake industry.

Nike Air Force 1 Huarache Supreme SP - Black, Purple

The transformation of sneakers and how they mesh with each other continues. Who would’ve thought 5 years ago that we’d see so many fusions that turn out to be pretty sick hybrids.

There have already been a few colorways leaked of the Nike Air Force 1 Supreme merged with the Nike Air Huarache. Here we have the Nike Air Force 1 Huarache Supreme SP in the Black/Purple colorway. The style features the AF1 silhouette, with a smooth purple leather base, black suede toebox, white stiching along the outsole, and the Huarache logo on the tongue and bottom of the sole. Another distinctive design feature on these are the icy semi transparent purple soles, which is always a crowd favorite.

As of last week, these are still only a Nike Store Europe exclusive, but we’re crossing our fingers that we’ll start seeing these on the other side of the pond soon.

Nike Air Force One - Custom Wolverine Edition

What does being a good artist and having a passion for sneakers get you? For sneaker artist, Van Monroe, it was an opportunity to work with Fox in promoting the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie coming out this May 2009.

The custom Wolverine Air Force I’s have hit the mainstream and even the guys on TNT Inside the NBA (EJ, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley) each got a pair to sport. As most of you may have seen, Charles and Kenny did a commercial promoting the movie, which led to this clip seen above where they each received a custom pair of AF1’s. These are some funny dudes, and its always cool to see some sneaker love on the tube.
