Nike Dunk High SB - Gucci 2009

The popular Nike Dunk High SB “Gucci” is back, and these SB’s have the fat tongue! As you know, there is another Nike Dunk dubbed the “Gucci Ostrich” that will be dropping at House of Hoops later this October. Well these most recent shots of the Dunk Gucci are more true to the previous releases.

These will be a Quickstrike re-release (previously released in 2005) this coming Winter, featuring a little bit less fraying going on with the denim, and a higher quality denim in general. Check out the sweet comparison photos from REVIVE below.

Nike SB Dunk Low x NJ Skate Shop “Toxic Avenger”

Gotta give some some local NJ love to NJ Skate Shop and to our very own superhero hailing from the Duurty, the Toxic Avenger. Seen here is a first look at the Nike SB Dunk Low designed by NJ Skate Shop, and inspired by the comic superhero Toxic Avenger.

Nice use of colors here, with the bright neon green midsole and sharp red swoosh, blended with the tans and browns of the upper to create a look for Nike Snowboarder Gigi Ruf (check out the logo on the shoe). No fat tongue here anymore, but a nicely done pair of kicks nonetheless.

Nike Dunk SB High - “Un-Heaven’s Gate”

The kicks featured here are dubbed the “Un-Heaven’s Gate” by many in the sneaker world now because of its heavy resemblance to an earlier planned Fall 2008 release of a shoe designed by skater Todd Jordan, named the “Heaven’s Gate”. This shoe of course, because of its name, received a lot of negative feedback from Nike and the public, and was pulled from the line (more info on Heaven’s Gate).

This new pair is made of a suede material and makes use of some popular color combos including purple, black, and white. Release of these is set for Nike SB’s April 2009 collection.

Nike SB: Custom Series #3

What is the Nike SB Custom Series? Many people forget that SB stands for skateboarding, and true to this name this cool feature shows off a selected rider and their hand selected SB sneaker of choice along with a matching theme that helps define the sneaker and the skater.

The riders featured here are: Daryl Angel (#1, Dunk Low Premium SB), Clark Hassler (#2, Blazer Low Hybrid Premium), Justin Brock (#3, Dunk Mid Premium SB) and Grant Taylor (#4, Blazer SB Elite). This is a great way to show off some awesome photography while promoting some sick kicks with innovative riders in the sport.

The Angel/Devil pack (Daryl Angel) and the Blazer Low Hybrid’s (Clark Hassler) are available now at SB accounts and the Dunk Mid’s (Justin Brock) and Blazer Elite’s (Grant Taylor) will arrive at SB stores sometime in April.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium 2009 - Yellow/Black

Nike SB has planned a new line to release this year coming soon. Usually its the low tops that make all the noise, but here we have a promising look at what could be coming up for the Nike SB Dunk High Top’s.

Besides being probably one of the brightest shoes with a predominately yellow colorway, it also sports many little details worthy of a Nike SB Premium shoe. These kicks feature premium leather in a smooth as well as a perforated finish, mostly bright yellow uppers, with a black patent leather swoosh, and a white toebox.

Although no release date is certain yet, expect to start seeing these real soon. Talk about letting your sneakers scream out loud.

Nike Dunk Low Premium SB - Angel & Devil

Nike Dunks have staying power because of the way this sneaker can evolve and take on many different themes. Here we have the Angel/Devil editions which is decked out in a teal blue/blood red combination.

The insole features, on opposite ends, an angel and a devil (depicted as a creature with a beard and horns). The shoe itself has soft leather and a mesh like material on the toe and upper area, resembling that of the Kermits. Nike really provided the premium treatment on these shoes.

These kicks are available now at select Nike SB dealers including Kix-Files.
